Created as a one-of-one original work, Scarface reinterprets the iconic figure of Tony Montana through Mónica Garcés’ contemporary mixed-media language, combining painting, sculptural elements, texture, and crystal-clear resin into a dimensional work of art.

The composition explores ambition, power, excess, and the pursuit of success — themes deeply associated with the cultural legacy of Scarface. Rather than simply reproducing an iconic image, the work transforms it through physical materials that extend beyond the painted surface.

The white suit is built with crushed glass, creating texture and brilliance beneath the resin. A real cigar, gold chain and pendant, and a sculptural red rose are incorporated directly into the composition, giving the artwork depth and a strong three-dimensional presence. The entire piece is finished in crystal-clear epoxy resin, producing a high-gloss surface that intensifies the colors and preserves the embedded elements.

Presented in an ornate black frame, Scarface brings together contemporary pop art, cinematic imagery, and mixed-media sculpture in a singular collectible work.
